Machine Operator to Managing Director – UK Boxes MD is Boxing Clever

Online removal and storage box specialist retailer UK Boxes’ MD, Mark Aveyard, has a great story to tell about his journey to becoming Managing Director.

Mark, who lives in Bradford, has worked in the boxes industry for over 15 years, starting his work as a machine operator at a production warehouse in Ripponden, near Halifax. After moving to 1st Choice Packaging in Manchester, Mark showed commitment and promise as a machine operator and quickly progressed, soon working as a supervisor and then production manager, overseeing the box production for all the machines in the factory.

Recognised for his attitude and approach, Mark was promoted to Commercial Director of 1st Choice Packaging. It is from here that the decision was made to launch UK Boxes Direct with 1st Choices’ Managing Director Sean Fletcher. Mark and Sean, with their knowledge and years of experience in the market, saw the potential of selling boxes online direct from the manufacturer.
