VIA Rail Plays Host to Stuart McLean and Vinyl Cafe

TORONTO – VIA Rail Canada is delighted to be welcoming renowned Canadian broadcaster and author, Stuart McLean, onboard the Canadian for a live Vinyl Cafe concert. With VIA’s classic cross-Canada rail journey serving as the theme for the show, Stuart will host the live concert from one of VIA’s famed domed-observation cars. Joining Stuart McLean for this concert is Canadian singer-songwriter Reid Jamieson.

Stuart McLean’s cross-country odyssey will kickoff on April 22nd in Vancouver where passengers will have an opportunity to meet Stuart in the station prior to departure. Once on-board, the gentle rocking of the rails and the ever-changing outdoor vistas will provide the backdrop and inspiration for the performance that will take place on the final day of the trip - Friday, April 25.

Travellers onboard the Canadian will be invited to attend this intimate, live Vinyl Cafe concert which will include Stuart reading one of his “Dave and Morley” stories, a number of trip-inspired railway tales and live music performed by Reid Jamieson.
