Alcatel-Lucent’s My Instant Communicator rated a “Top Performer” in Miercom Evaluation

Alcatel-Lucent (Euronext Paris and NYSE: ALU) today announced its recently announced My Instant Communicator unified communications (UC) software suite has been named a top performer by renowned testing service Miercom.

The Miercom review, which is posted at external linkhttp://www.miercom.com, evaluated the software on a network simulating traffic of 10,000 users to determine its performance in large enterprises. Miercom’s experts reported that My Instant Communicator delivered state-of-the art UC functionality and excellent response times under heavy traffic conditions. The report also notes that the software’s consistent interface across PC, smartphone and IP phone positively impacted their productivity and mobility, and that management of the application is effective and intuitive.

The My Instant Communicator suite combines telephony; voicemail, e-mail and fax messaging; collaboration services such as instant messaging and peer-to-peer video; one-number services through call routing and screening; and presence services through telephony and instant messaging presence information.

Enterprises can integrate My Instant Communicator services with existing business applications that can be accessed seamlessly from a computer, IP phone or smartphone. My Instant Communicator combines Alcatel-Lucent’s UC services, formerly known as My Phone, My Messaging, My Assistant and My Teamwork — all of which are now part of the single-license package but are also available on an “à la carte” basis.
