CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – In September, Jack in the Box® experienced a record-breaking opening week when it opened its first restaurant in Corpus Christi. Since then, the community has continued to show tremendous support for the quick-serve chain. Now, with a third restaurant opening tomorrow, Jack in the Box is planning to give back to the community that has given it so much.

On Wednesday, March 5, Jack in the Box will mark the opening of its third Corpus Christi location by donating 20 percent of opening-day sales to Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Texas, officially launching a partnership with the local mentoring organization. Proceeds from the event will help expand the agency’s High School Bigs program, which matches high school “Bigs” with elementary school “Littles.” Through The Jack in the Box Foundation, Jack in the Box sponsors a national Big Brothers Big Sisters’ High School Bigs Mentoring program that operates in more than 20 communities throughout the U.S.

“The people of Corpus Christi have been very supportive of our move into the market and this is our way of saying thanks for the warm welcome,” said Don Hinton, regional vice president for Jack in the Box. “Jack in the Box supports Big Brothers Big Sisters agencies in many of the communities in which we operate, and we’re very proud to carry on that tradition in Corpus Christi.”
