As digital cable conversion has had most of the resources available to cable operators tied up, CMTS deployment and cable modem service are currently only available in a handful of locations. * The number of cable broadband subscribers in China will increase from 2.69 million in 2007 to 8.16 million in 2012.
* Cable broadband coverage in China will expand to 26 million households by 2012, representing a good market opportunity for CMTS vendors.
* Cable modem shipments will grow from 677,000 in 2007 to 1.58 million in 2012.
