Bird’s V800 Mobile Phone Uses Atrua Fingerprint Touch Control to Protect Private Data and Provide Value-Added Touch Control Features


Campbell, CA and Shanghai, China, February 5, 2008 – Atrua Technologies and Ningbo Bird announced today that Bird, China’s leading mobile phone maker, is utilizing Atrua’s fingerprint touch control to provide users with the best possible security and privacy features available for mobile devices. Bird’s recently launched V800, its first fingerprint controlled mobile phone, utilizes Atrua’s made-for-mobile, ATW300 fingerprint solution.

Bird’s feature-rich phone includes capabilities such as electronic maps, Microsoft Office tools, MP3 and MP4 media players, a high resolution camera, and up to two gigabytes of memory for storing photos, music, maps, and other data. These features add tremendous value to a handset and at the same time increase the amount of valuable, sensitive, and private data that can be accessed by the device.
