Alcatel Business Partner Program growing in North America

First annual business partner conference a success with over 100 partners in attendance.

Plano, TX, November 16, 2005 - Alcatel (Paris: CGEP.PA and NYSE: ALA) today announced two new business partners in North America, Comm-Works, LLC and Dugdale Communications. The announcement comes after a successful first annual North America Business Partner Conference which was held in Scottsdale, AZ in October. Top executives from Alcatel provided the more than 100 partners who attended with an outlined strategy and direction of the expanded North America (NA) Business Partner Program, .announced over the summer and designed to combine the reach of Alcatel’s enterprise and carrier class solutions and increase the profitability of business partners.

Comm-Works, LLC, headquartered in Minneapolis, MN, was the result of a recent merger of Fortran Communications, Mahon Communications and Compel, all of which were individual partners with Alcatel. Comm-Works specializes in serving local authorities and government, utilities, health and education markets, all of which are prime vertical markets for Alcatel solutions.
