Company Provides Broadest Portfolio of Multi-Image Displays

LONDON, January, 2008 (Broadcast Live/Video Forum, Stand No. G54) — Harris Corporation (NYSE: HRS), an international communications and information technology company, will showcase its expanded range of high-definition (HD) multiviewers for the first time in the U.K. at the Broadcast Live/Video Forum 2008. The demonstrations include products from Zandar Technologies, which Harris acquired in November 2007. The event is being held January 30 - February 1, 2008, at Earl’s Court 2 Exhibition Centre in London.

With the broadest multi-image display processor portfolio in the industry today, Harris will be demonstrating its recently expanded family of multiviewers at the show. This includes the enhanced Predator series of multiviewers for HDTV monitoring in production environments and CCTV/Security, and the FusionPro+ series multiviewers, designed for mission-critical environments where flexible configuration of multiple input sources is required for centralised monitoring. These products continue to gain increasing acceptance in a range of mission-critical, time-sensitive and space-restricted applications.

Also on show at BroadcastLive/Video Forum will be an enhanced control option for the Zandar Z-Configurator user interface, as well as the new Z-Controller software. Z-Controller provides video wall operators immediate control of the wall for scenario changes, whether scheduled or on alarm activation, and provides visual indication of fault conditions and an alarm logging tool.

“Flexible, scalable monitoring is essential in preventing, detecting and correcting signal errors in today’s multichannel, multiplatform environments,” said Richard Scott, vice president of operations, Europe, Middle East and Africa, for Harris Broadcast Communications. “The Zandar portfolio — including new product introductions such as the Predator II series for command and control and the Sony® monitor-based QS100™ HD Quad card — combined with the larger-format Harris® CENTRIO™ multiviewers enables Harris to offer customers the most scalable, comprehensive solution set on the market today.”

The Harris multiviewer portfolio also includes the award-winning CENTRIO™ multiviewer. CENTRIO™ is available as a standalone platform or as part of a system solution integrated with the Harris® Platinum™ router. Combining superior graphics, industry-proven architecture and integrated test and measurement tools, CENTRIO™ enables unique new capabilities and simplified system designs that can reduce the cost and complexity associated with traditional, large-system monitoring implementations.

Harris Broadcast Communications offers products, systems and services that provide interoperable workflow solutions that span the entire broadcast delivery chain. The Harris ONE approach brings together highly integrated and cost-effective products that are ideal for emerging media business models and for customers upgrading media operations to digital and high-definition services.
