Solution Includes a Xerox DocuColor® 242 Digital Color Printer/Copier, Enabling Onsite Printing of Specialty Photo Products

VALHALLA, N.Y., January 25, 2008 – FUJIFILM U.S.A., Inc. today announced that Independent Photo Imagers (IPI), an association of more than 500 independent photo retailers, has selected Fujifilm as the provider of a photo specialty printing solution at its new headquarters in Henderson, Nevada. The deployment underscores Fujifilm’s commitment to providing a comprehensive range of imaging products and services that enable retailers of all sizes to capitalize on the evolving profit opportunities in today’s imaging market.

In partnership with Xerox, Fujifilm has devised a new photo specialty printing solution for IPI that integrates the Xerox DocuColor® 242 Digital Color Printer/Copier, which will enable the organization to produce a range of collateral documents and other printed materials in-house, including membership brochures, reports and newsletters, for distribution to its membership. IPI will distribute these products to its members to exemplify the capabilities of Fujifilm’s onsite printing solution offerings.

“As the imaging industry continues to evolve, Fujifilm has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to providing our members with the tools they need to expand their product and service offerings to meet the demands of today’s imaging consumers,” said Brent Bowyer, executive director, Independent Photo Imagers. “The photo specialty products market presents a huge growth opportunity for independent photo retailers, and many of our members have already partnered with Fujifilm to capitalize upon this market. We deployed the Xerox DocuColor 242 Digital Color Printer at our headquarters to provide a tangible example whereby all of our members can experience for themselves the possibilities of this solution.”

A study conducted by PMA Marketing Research, U.S. Photo Industry 2007: Review and Forecast, indicates that the value of the photo book market was expected to triple in 2007 when compared to 2005, and it is on track to grow even more in 2008. To enable imaging retailers and professional photo labs to capitalize upon this increasing demand, FUJIFILM U.S.A. and Xerox have collaborated to provide a comprehensive range of integrated software and printing solutions for the in-store production of photo books, photo greeting cards, photo calendars and more.

“We are thrilled that IPI has chosen Fujifilm to provide this solution,” said Bing Liem, senior vice president, Sales, Imaging Division, FUJIFILM U.S.A. “Today’s announcement demonstrates the confidence that imaging retailers, large and small, have in Fujifilm’s long-standing commitment to providing superior technologies, services and products that enable them to capitalize on revenue-generating opportunities in today’s imaging marketplace.”
