SAN DIEGO .— Qualcomm Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), a leading developer and innovator of advanced wireless technologies and data solutions, today announced its nominations for the BREW® 2008 Developer Awards program and its open call for speakers at the BREW 2008 Conference. Qualcomm will host the BREW 2008 Developer Awards, which honors notable publishers and developers and their achievements in BREW application development for the past year. The annual awards program features publishers and developers from around the world who submit their top BREW applications for consideration by an international panel of judges representing all facets of the wireless industry, including members of the media, industry analysts, operators and developers.

“During the past year, the industry has seen many innovative and creative applications hit the global market, from the United States and Europe to more emerging mobile markets such as China and India,” said Mitch Oliver, vice president of solutions and marketing for Qualcomm Internet Services. “Qualcomm is proud to play a part in the development of advanced wireless applications and services and is honored to recognize them through the annual BREW Developer Awards.”

Entrants can submit up to five applications by completing an online entry form and providing application demos by the deadline of February 29, 2008. Each entry will be evaluated based on the following criteria: ease of use, originality, “cool” factor, feature set and likelihood of success (for pre-commercial entries in the Best Up and Coming Application and Best Public or Private Sector Business Application categories) or shows evidence of success (for all other categories). Finalists will be announced on the BREW 2008 Web site on May 12.
