MonsterTRAK Becomes Exclusive Careers Provider for 550 Online Student Newspapers in mtvU’s College Media Network

MAYNARD, Mass. and NEW YORK.- MonsterTRAK, Monster’s emerging workforce division, and mtvU, MTV’s 24-hour college network, today announced the expansion of a strategic alliance designed to help students nationwide land the right job directly out of college. Monster is the leading global online careers property and flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. (Nasdaq: MNST).

As part of the expanded relationship:

* mtvU will debut 12 additional episodes of “The Opening,” a collaborative television series sponsored by MonsterTRAK.
* The companies will co-host a series of “Ultimate Internship” contests, giving students the chance to intern at concerts, awards shows, mtvU Spring Break ’08 events and more.
* MonsterTRAK is currently the exclusive provider of career content and job opportunities to mtvU. This service will now extend to include all 550 campus publications in mtvU’s College Media Network.

“The Millennial generation has entered the workforce with characteristically high expectations of their employers and their roles as new members of the work force,” said Mark Charnock, vice president and general manager, MonsterTRAK. “While internships continue to be an excellent primer for life after graduation -- 78 percent of prospective graduates plan to complete at least one internship during their college careers, according to a 2007 MonsterTRAK study* -- ’The Opening’ provides students with additional insight into the realities of entry-level employment.”

The alliance will also provide MonsterTRAK another key student aggregation point for its proprietary Career Ad Network. This patent-pending job distribution technology can target and display the most relevant job opportunities to the millions of college students that make up mtvU’s viewership based on their individual interests.

Added Stephen Friedman, GM, mtvU, “Few issues are more important to our audience than how their college experience translates to that first job out of school, and we’re thrilled to grow our successful relationship with MonsterTRAK -- offering students new ways to jumpstart their careers.”

“The Opening”

mtvU and mtvU.com will debut 12 new episodes of the show, each profiling a day-in-the-life of a different first-year, entry-level worker across several industries. As part of the current season of “The Opening,” this week mtvU and mtvU.com premiered a new episode that follows recent grad Walter, a tax associate at Pricewaterhouse Coopers. Past episodes, which are all archived on mtvU.com, have included profiles on a research associate at the United Nations, public relations coordinator at Estee Lauder, consumer marketing assistant at EA Sports, space flight trainer at NASA and a hardware engineer at Qualcomm.

“Ultimate Internships”

For the coming year, mtvU and MonsterTRAK will offer a series of six new “Ultimate Internship” contests -- giving college students the chance to do everything from interning at mtvU Spring Break ’08 to going behind the scenes to assist at concerts, awards shows and much more. The first contest offered entrants the opportunity to be flown to Chicago with a guest, spend two days shadowing executives from mtvU’s marketing group and get a behind-the-scenes view of what it takes to put on a marquee concert event. One lucky winner will be awarded backstage-access to hang out with red-hot Motion City Soundtrack this weekend as part of their headlining 40-city tour. Future “Ultimate Internships” will be detailed at jobs.mtvU.com.

Jobs Hub

The lynchpin of the mtvU and MonsterTRAK alliance is a co-branded jobs “hub” on mtvU.com -- offering important tools for job hunting, resume building, and interviewing, plus frequently updated entry-level “dream job” and internship postings. As part of their expanded alliance, the site will now be extended to all 550 campus publications in the College Media Network, the largest interactive network of online college newspapers in the United States. Readers of every College Media Network affiliate will now be able to access a selection of local and national entry-level jobs and internship opportunities, as well as interview advice, salary information and other careers resources, right along side their local campus news.

“MonsterTRAK’s affiliation with mtvU.com provides employers with increased advertising and brand exposure among highly motivated, career-minded college students and young professionals,” added Charnock. “We are particularly excited about providing college students with an unprecedented combination of both targeted jobs and unparalleled mtvU content to extend the brands of millions of employers nationwide.”

*MonsterTRAK’s 2007 Entry Level Job Outlook was conducted from February 15 - March 7, 2007 via targeted online distribution to nationwide MonsterTRAK customer companies, as well as college students and recent alumni who are MonsterTRAK members. Results were recorded from more than 985 employers and over 2,545 students.
