Fox and Lifetime Actress Naima Imani Lett and Lett’s Rise! Productions Equipping Young Actresses through Annual Lett’s Rise! Starlet Award

Dallas, Texas- Dec 4- Actresses between the ages of 10 and 25 have a wonderful opportunity to advance their careers through the Lett’s Rise! Annual Starlet Award presented by Fox and Lifetime Actress Naima Imani Lett and Lett’s Rise! Productions. The Starlet Award was created to help young actresses with a genuine need to jump start their careers with a headshot photo shoot from Lett’s Rise including a professional make up session with Texas’ Makeup Maven Donatelle Mascari. The award valued over $700 will also include an acting career consultation and photo shoot coaching from veteran actress Lar Park Lincoln (Knots Landing, Friday the 13th VII, Inspector Mom) and a one full year associate membership to the Dallas chapter of Women in Film.

“You can have overwhelming talent and skill and still not work as an actress if you do not have the bare necessities like an excellent headshot, the actor’s calling card. Lett’s Rise! has received headshots that could actually hurt, rather than help some talent’s chance of getting hired, and we would like to change that,” says Lett, “I was tremendously blessed when I started in the industry to receive awesome guidance and support from people like Lar, Donatelle, Women in Film… and our hearts’ desire is to pass that blessing on to others.”

To be considered, actresses need to submit a short essay using the online submission form (STARLET SUBMISSION FORM), attach their photograph and outline their financial need. Submissions should be completed no later than December 14th. Judging will be based upon the short essay responses included on the submission form. Consideration will also be given based on the state of the actress’ current photograph or lack thereof and financial need. “We would like to help an actress with a genuine need,” says Kevin P. Lett, music producer and co-founder of Lett’s Rise! Productions.

Lett’s Rise! founders Kevin and Naima Imani Lett will announce the Lett’s Rise! First Annual Starlet Award on Wed., December 19, 2007. Submissions must be received by Friday, December 14, 2007 at 11:59 PM Central Time and must include a current headshot and resume along with the submission form at http://www.lettsrise.com/lettsrise_starlet.html. Participating actresses will receive email confirmation from the same email address; therefore, they should make sure their spam filter does not block the email address.
