HazMasterG3® provides details on over 118,000 threats including chemical, biological, radiological agents and IEDs

Public safety officials, including law enforcement, HAZMAT, bomb squads, paramedics, and homeland security officers, demand advanced and rapid technology to assess potential threats and determine the appropriate responses. To provide these officials with a valuable tool to assist in their critical activities, Alltel Wireless, America’s largest network, providing coverage across the nation, today announced the availability of HazMasterG3® from Alluviam.

HazMasterG3®, a fast and easy decision support system, provides details on over 118,000 chemical, biological and radiological agents, trade names and explosives. The application also provides support capabilities for the quickly changing role of Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) in law enforcement, both civilian and military. HazMasterG3® has earned certification from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as an Approved Product for Homeland Security and is designated as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology (QATT).

“Alltel Wireless recognizes the role that a wireless device can play in assisting public safety agencies across the country,” said Dave Maddox, director of advanced data solutions for Alltel Wireless. “We are proud to offer HazMasterG3® on select phones, as it has the potential to not only help law enforcement and emergency responders identify threats, but the application can also provide details needed to help save lives.”

Additionally, the application’s capabilities include advanced tools for bomb technicians and Tier 2 pre-plan support for over 60,000 facilities nationwide for fire, HAZMAT and USAR needs.

HazMasterG3® also provides modeling for precursor outcomes, chemical reactions and advanced agent-identification capabilities for a broad range of unknown threats – a key factor for terrorism response.

“No other handheld or desktop solution can match HazMasterG3®’s capabilities,” said Chris Miguel, CEO of Alluviam. “When used in conjunction with supported survey equipment, HazMasterG3® is the only decision support system that can identify an extremely broad range of radioactive isotopes.”

With a patent pending physical signature library of over 780,000 attributes to identify unknown materials in less than three seconds, HazMasterG3® can identify characteristics such as which hazardous materials are gases, which are heavier than air and which are green. To further assist public officials, HazMasterG3® instantly identifies whether or not an agent is a precursor for chemical warfare, explosives, heroin, cocaine or methamphetamine production, along with identifying typical industrial uses and processes where these materials may be present.
