General Dynamics Awarded $6 Million For Submarine Maintenance and Repair

GROTON, Conn. – General Dynamics Electric Boat has received a $6 million award under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement from the U.S. Navy to perform maintenance and repair work on nuclear submarines at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Virginia. Electric Boat is a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD).

The work will be performed on USS Scranton (SSN-756) during its Drydocking Selected Restricted Availability; on USS Alaska (SSBN-732) during its Engineered Refueling Overhaul; and on USS Tucson (SSN-770) during its Depot Modernization Period. Completion of the work is scheduled for January 2008.
