ITT to provide night vision to U.S. Navy and Coast Guard through 2012

White Plains, N.Y.- ITT Corporation (NYSE:ITT) today announced that it received a contract to provide night vision equipment to the U.S. Navy and Coast Guard through 2012.

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, Crane, Ind., awarded the indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for submersible AN/PVS-14 night vision monocular devices. The contract has a potential total value of $37 million. Work for the contract will be performed at ITT Night Vision, based in Roanoke, Va.

ITT’s AN/PVS-14 is a monocular Generation (Gen) 3 device, which allows the user to adjust the gain control for improved clarity of vision in varying light conditions. The unit can be handheld, head-mounted, weapon-mounted or adapted to a camera or camcorder. The submersible version will be provided on this contract.
