Listasaurus.com expands business services with Listie Link, a South Florida Networking Group

August 1, 2007 - Ft. Lauderdale, FL - Sunrise-based Listasaurus.com has expanded their services for local business owners with the launch of the Listie Link, a new South Florida networking group that will meet monthly in the Sunrise and Plantation area.

“Our goal is to help businesses link with each other, learn from each other, and hopefully grow their business by helping each other. And we want to do it a little bit differently,” says Melanie Heywood, Founder and CEO of Listasaurus.com and the Listie Link.

Listie Link networking meetings will take place at a local restaurant, and appetizers and soft drinks will be provided and included in the meeting cost. The Listie Link events will be a bit different then just casual mingling, since attendees will each get an opportunity to introduce themselves and “showcase” their business. This way everyone who attends learns what everyone else does, which can often be missed in a mingling type of gathering.

The idea for adding a monthly networking event came to Founder Melanie Heywood after finding many networking events she attended took place in non-productive environments. “It’s really difficult to have a conversation with people in a ‘Happy Hour’ setting with loud music,” she says. “Listie Link meetings will allow everyone to introduce themselves, and then network with each other afterwards in a quieter setting.”

There is no membership required to attend the monthly meetings, but Listasaurus.com will be offering premium marketing packages for business owners that include attendance to all Listie Link events for one full year. The packages will also include services that Melanie hopes will further bridge the communication gap in between networking events, such as a monthly newsletter with helpful articles, an e-flyer showcasing Listie Link businesses, and ongoing email introductions when a new business joins. The Listie Link also plans to feature guest speakers as the group grows.

Melanie Heywood says, “I find that most of the networking groups I’ve been involved with only address the monthly event. We hope to take it a step further by really keeping the communication and promotion between businesses in the forefront.”
