Oshkosh, Wis.– Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announced today at the opening of the Experimental Aircraft Association’s AirVenture 2007 it is offering software and hardware upgrades for G1000-equipped single-engine piston aircraft.

“Cessna remains committed to supporting earlier production aircraft and to providing upgrades requested by our customers,” said Mark Paolucci, senior vice president, Customer Service. “We are excited about these enhancements as they will allow earlier Garmin systems to take greater advantage of the G1000’s capabilities.”

The first upgrade, free to 2004-2007 G1000 operators, adds multi-function display (MFD) capability such as depicted airways, procedure turns and holding patterns, and enhanced weather depiction and weather data management for XM Weather.

Available for purchase are upgrades that include Garmin’s FliteCharts and SafeTaxi chart package, and Jeppesen’s ChartView chart service package.

Hardware upgrades now available for late-model G1000-equipped aircraft include ADF/DME and TAS. WAAS (standard on 2007 G1000 Cessna single-engine pistons) and TAS will be available for 2004-2006 aircraft by the end of 2007.
Specific details are available at the Cessna exhibit at AirVenture 2007 (Exhibit No. 143-156) or by calling Cessna Customer Service at +1 316 517 5800.
