Prasso Ministries Helping Individuals Release “Secrets That Kill”

Greenville, South Carolina—June 26— Prasso Ministries is helping people from all backgrounds to experience safety in order to release years of silence about a secret that kills- sexual abuse. According to Prasso Ministries, negative feelings, if left unchecked, may leave individuals walking and experiencing life, through their wounds instead of through God’s peace, love, and joy. Prasso Ministries is seeking to remedy the feelings of shame and guilt often associated with sexual abuse through their twelve week Prasso class.

“God brought a young woman into my life who had been carrying a secret for over seventeen years. A secret that was killing her joy and robbing her life- she had been sexually abused,” says Prasso Ministries founder Laura Baker, “The Prasso class is offered to men and women separately and is basically designed to help individuals work through emotions such as anger and fear- ultimately bringing them to a place of joy and forgiveness, giving them the victory in Christ for everyday living.”

The Prasso discipleship program has served as a catalyst for change in over two thousand men and women allowing room for the Bible to be used in such a way that it brings about healing for these “walking wounded”.

Laura Baker was led to create Prasso Ministries after a young acquaintance shared her troubling story of sexual abuse. She realized that there were many such “walking wounded” and was inspired by Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 (“Two are better than one…If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up!”) to be the friend to those in need. God laid on her heart to produce a curriculum, based solely on God’s Word, that would not only teach the character of God but would also teach practical truth for every day living. Since 1992, Laura and other Prasso teachers have shared the Prasso message with more than 2000 men and women.
