Metavitae.com, the health weblog celebrates 2 years of bringing unique and uncommon health information into one site.

Over the past 2 years, Metavitae.com has brought modern health topics like “The Hygiene Hypothesis”, http://www.metavitae.com/archives/2006/06/dirty_good_and.php , “Selenium May Mitigate Some Cancers”, http://www.metavitae.com/archives/2005/05/selenium_may_re.php and “The Thermic Effect of Water”, http://www.metavitae.com/archives/2006/09/factoid_the_the.php , to people who might never have heard of them before.

Coupled with a boisterous sense of humor in entries like “Tinfoil Hat Brain Firewall Not So Secure After All” and “New Health Hazard Discovered: Grenades and Sledgehammers”, Metavitae.com seeks to entertain and amuse as well as inform.

A few nice comments and emails from blogosphere superstar Kathy Sierra, Rusty Hodge of SomaFM, Michele Husak and Tim Westergren of Pandora, oncology expert Gregory D. Pawelski and others have been real highlights of the site communications over its lifespan.

Gregory can be found commenting in expert form at health and oncology-oriented sites just about everywhere. His particular knowledge of the drug Tykerb helped supplement a Metavitae post in fantastic depth, and was a case-study of how comment streams can fill out a blog.
