VeriFone PCI PED-Approved Portfolio Numbers 25

VeriFone Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: PAY) today announced that its portfolio of PCI PED-approved payment solutions now numbers 25 systems. The milestone achievement ensures VeriFone’s ability to provide compliant systems for any conceivable merchant need utilizing any communications protocol.

As of January 1, 2008, all payment systems sold for PIN entry use must comply with the Payment Card Industry PIN Entry Device standard. VeriFone leads the industry in conformance to this payment security requirement with products for countertop, mobile, drive-thru, consumer-facing, and hand-over PIN pad use, as well as Encrypting Pin Pad solutions for unattended PIN entry environments (PCI EPP).

VeriFone’s PCI PED-compliant portfolio features a complete range of communications options, including GPRS and CDMA cellular, Wi-Fi, broadband Ethernet, Bluetooth, and dial.
