ArvinMeritor to Supply Drivetrain and All Wheel Drive System for the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles (MRAP)

ArvinMeritor Inc. (NYSE:ARM) has been selected by International Military and Government, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of International Truck & Engine Corporation, to supply 1,200 vehicle sets of front and rear drive axles with brakes, and transfer cases, for a new generation of armored personnel carriers for the U.S. military – the Mine Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle (Category 1).

ArvinMeritor’s front drive steer axle, the MX-18-120HR with a new heavy-retardation 120 axle carrier; the RS-23-160 widetrack rear drive axle; and the MTC-4210 transfer case is a proven commercial drivetrain and all wheel drive system.
