Dubai – Citibank, a member of Citi, announced today the launch of four financial centers designed to provide customers with a full suite of banking services closer to their homes. The four financial centers, or Electronic Banking Units (EBUs), are located at the following addresses:

* Al Heel Tower in Abu Dhabi
* Al-Rigga Palace in Dubai
* Marina Heights Towers, Next to Marina Walk in Dubai
* Crystal Plaza, King Faisal Street, Sharjah

The four financial centers are in addition to Citibank’s five branches offering wide range of retail banking products including Wealth Management, Credit Cards and Loans to Individuals and SME customers in a friendly and comfortable atmosphere. All four centers are equipped with state-of-the-art Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) to help customers complete their daily banking transactions.

“The financial centers in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah offer customers the convenience of being served in their local neighborhoods,” said Mohammed Al-Shroogi, Managing Director for the Middle East and Chief Executive Officer for Citi in the UAE. “This is in line with our aim to seek out our valued customers wherever they may be in order to provide them with the service they require in a timely fashion.”

Sanjoy Sen, Citibank’s Country Business Manager for the UAE, added: “We continuously work towards building greater convenience and access for customers, through the introduction of new access channels to meet their growing needs, whether through branches and new financial centers (electronic banking units), or through the convenience of 24/7 banking offered by the unique CitiPhone platform at 04- 3114000, or through the Internet by accessing Citibank Online at www.citibank.ae.”

The four new financial centers fall within a series of customer service and product initiatives that the bank has been executing this year as part of its expansion plan. During this period, the bank doubled its proprietary ATM network across the UAE, with the total number now reaching 50 machines.

Citi has been in the Middle East for nearly 50 years and currently offers consumer-banking services in the UAE, Bahrain and Egypt. In the UAE alone, Citibank, the consumer banking arm of Citi, has had a presence for the past 43 years, and is expanding its major operations within the country. The bank is currently a major player in the UAE’s credit card market and a leading provider of banking, Wealth Management and Consumer credit services.
