Fox Sports Australia Kicks Off The Summer 2007 Calendar With Chyron

Chyron Corporation (OTC BB: CYRO) has today announced that Sydney-based Premier Media Group, operators of Fox Sports in Australia, has installed three LEX graphics systems, two DynaCrawl independent, dual-ticker/time/temp/logo data display channels and a CMix multi-layer digital video mixer for its major Sports Network. The sales was carried out by Chyron’s Asian partner, Magna Systems & Engineering.

Chyron’s systems are being used in Fox Sport’s three studios for news, magazine shows and live production. Fox Sports News utilizes one LEX for sophisticated graphics on its 24/7 channel and both DynaCrawl systems for continuous ticker information displays. The network also uses Lyric offline software to prepare Chyron graphics at the start of a season or new show, allowing operators to arrange out of the studio, but still at the desktop, without tying-up an LEX full time.

“As part of an intensive graphics system selection process, a number of key system features were rated including non-linear integration, system architecture, file exchange capabilites, local support, international acceptance o the product, automation interfaces, user interfaces, graphical design, replay features and price. Following this period, the Chyron LEX was rated, by all involved, as the best system for our requirements" commented Michael Day, Chief Engineer, Premier Media Group.

William Payne, Chyron’s Director of Sales, Asia Pacific added, “We are delighted to announce this installation at Fox Sports. The LEX is an extremely reliable graphics engine that provides live news networks with a workhorse that features seamless creation to playout, real-time 2D/3D animation and a host of hardware and software features, including 2D and 3D object import, movie objects, Advanced Text and Image Effects, Intelligent Interface® and DB Link update, and macro creation/execution. The DynaCrawl systems are supremely flexible, with the ability to provide automatically updating data from a wide variety of sources. Data display is enhanced with user-set fonts, static graphics and flipbooks .”
