FUJIFILM U.S.A., Inc. introduces a new software application that expands its pro lab and on-site retail photo print solutions to create photo books, photo calendars, greeting cards and other customized photo products, using Xerox Corporation (NYSE: XRX) digital color printers.

Fujifilm now offers software from DigiLabs for use with Xerox’s Phaser® 7760 tabloid color laser printer and Xerox DocuColor® Digital Color Printers to bring a photofinishing system that is high quality, customer-friendly and profitable. Available to both professional labs and retail photofinishers, the solution enables customers to use Fujifilm’s offering of these Xerox digital printers, consumables, binding and finishing equipment, to create products that meet customer demands.

The DigiLabs software is a suite of software applications for making photo books, cards and calendars that runs on the Windows XP platform. It features an easy-to-use interface for building photo books with basic templates and text fields. The calendar and card modules are also designed for users with basic PC skills.

“Our retail and pro lab customers are receptive and eager for us to deploy this solution, and we’re very pleased to bring this offering to them,” said Thomas Curley, director of marketing for lab solutions, Imaging Division, FUJIFILM U.S.A. “The solution combines innovative photo software with retail order management capability, to enhance the growing business of photo specialty items, with the added benefit of ongoing demand and increased revenue stream.”

The solution includes a separate order console application to use for billing and releasing orders for printing. Orders are created by the customer on network-attached workstations or via personal PC from home, depending on the retailer or venue, and sent to the order console. Orders are then released to the Xerox printer for two-sided output on high quality paper stocks.

“Working with Fujifilm, an industry leader in photofinishing and in service that delivers great products to its customers, is an exciting development for us,” said Andrew Friedland, vice president, business development, Digilabs, Inc. “We are also especially proud of our robust customization that not only serves our professional photographer clientele, but also allows for us to team up with retailers and offer home-to-store solutions.”

DigiLabs private labels its photo products authoring software for companies looking to grow their personalized photo products business. It offers both in-store as well as online ordering solutions. For more information, visit: www.digilabstech.com.
