Avanta opens first business centre in Birmingham

WEBWIRE

Avanta has added another property to its growing portfolio of business centres by taking a lease on 14,000 sq ft at 65 Church Street in the city centre of Birmingham.

The building is owned by Kenmore Property Group, who earlier this year funded a management buyout of Avanta, releasing a £100 million capital investment programme into the business.

Based in the recently revitalised jewellery quarter in the heart of Birmingham, 65 Church Street is in close proximity to the main thoroughfares of Corporation Street, New Street and Colmore Row.

The fully furnished offices are arranged over four floors and are available for occupation in a variety of sizes, from 120 sq ft upwards. As with all Avanta business centres, 65 Church Street features cutting edge communications technology, including VoIP telephone systems, scaleable broadband web access and dedicated computer rooms. There is also wi fi enabled communal areas, a secure reception area and fully equipped meeting and training rooms.

Avanta’s Chief Executive, David Alberto, said: “This is the first phase of our business development strategy to expand the Avanta brand nationwide. We have a strong presence in London and are beginning to branch out into the Thames Valley, but the opening of this business centre in Birmingham states our intention to become a truly nationwide serviced office operation.”

The announcement of the new Reading business centre coincides with the launch of the company’s new virtual office service – Avanta Virtual PA. Designed to offer businesses a complete package of office support but without the actual office space, Virtual PA can deliver a full range of business centre facilities to home workers, business start-ups, professionals on the move, or larger organisations seeking a market presence in London.

Aligned to the launch of the Virtual PA, is Avanta’s meeting and training room service (MTR). For companies who wish to hire space for a board away day or brainstorm session, a day’s interviewing or seminar and training, Avanta can offer meeting rooms complete with audio and video conferencing. Also part of the Birmingham Meeting & Training Room package will be catering and secretarial services, along with specialist meeting coordinators.

Chief Executive David Alberto said: “This is the latest milestone in the company’s on-going growth strategy. There is increasing occupier demand in the market for unbranded, competitively priced, flexible business space, which we are well placed to satisfy with our growing portfolio of business centres across London and the Thames Valley.”
