GENBAND’S Converged Media Gateway Named Worldwide Market Share Leader

Plano, TX - GENBAND™ Inc., a market-leading developer of next-generation IP gateways and application solutions, today announced that independent analyst firm Infonetics Research has named the GENBAND 8000 Converged Media Gateway as the world’s leader in port shipments for the calendar year 2006.

The GENBAND 8000 Converged Media Gateway shipped a record 7 million ports during 2006 establishing it as the worldwide market share leader in port shipments for all categories of media gateways. A critical component of any high-density wireless and wireline solution, the 8000 Converged Media Gateway has been at the heart of network solutions worldwide for over five years.
