Jagermeister Entertains Guests with Live Bands and Unveils Mobile Stage

Cypress, Calif.—JVC Mobile hosted its One Year Anniversary party featuring the Jagermeister Mobile Stage, a car stereo exhibit and competition and on-site presence from marketing partners such as Hurley, Spy Sunglasses, Adio and Red Bull. More than 200 guests (a mix of dealers, members of the press and musicians) helped celebrate the accomplishments of JVC Mobile and Jagermeister.

National recording artist Seether headlined the event on the Jagermeister stage, joined by five additional rock bands performing for guests throughout the day.

Two full rows of show cars filled the event from local car stereo dealers and entered into the contest, judged by Mobile Electronics’ Solomon Daniels. Vehicles ranged from classic low riders, Hummers sporting 30-inch plus rims, Japanese sport compacts and German luxury vehicles. Each vehicle was judged according to installation quality; amount of equipment or modification; how well the equipment was integrated into the vehicle; and cool factor. Prizes were given away to contest winners ranging from a JVC boom-box to an Everio camcorder. Two lucky winners received JVC 32” and 42” flat panel LCD monitors for “Best in Show” and “Best JVC Representation”, respectively.

“There was a lot of creativity in the field, from cars that showed style to cars that demonstrated the full capability of a professional installation center,” Mobile Electronics’ Daniels said. “It was great to see a mixture of vehicles from the iconic Oakland Raiders Suburban and classic low rider to the high tech BMW that won the competition.”

First place Best in Show went to Big 5 Electronics’ (Cerritos, Calif.) BMW 530. Latif Bawaney, sales and marketing, said the car is an everyday commuter that went through a six month changeover and now sports 14 TVs, four amplifiers, three subs, four sets of components and more. “It’s rare to see a German car, especially a $50,000 worth, modified the way this vehicle was,” Bawaney said. “Everything has been redone— headliner to suede seats and fiberglass trunk. It’s unique, elegant and flashy. I think JVC had a very successful show by bringing all the dealers together and allowing them to get to know one another. Big 5 was proud to be a part of it.”

Second place Best in Show went to A&G Custom Motoring’s (Los Angeles) Scion TC, which sported 14 TVs, seven 7-inch monitors, four nine-inch monitors, two 11-inch and one 17-inch flip downs, custom seats, in addition to suede headliner and trunk and 22-inch rims. According to Javier Palomares, sales, “The car itself is an accomplishment. Doing up a small vehicle with 22-inch rims and 14 TVs…that’s unheard of!”

Third place Best in Show went to Competition Soundworks’ (Artesia, Calif.) Cadillac Escalade, which according to Shawn Byun, operations manager, represented its class very well due to its luxurious and classy installation. “First and foremost, we keep the Cadillac Escalade as one of our demo vehicles that we keep on the floor,” Byun said. “We designed the car to cater to our demographic and to show off our quality of craftsmanship and attention to detail. Everything we put in is supposed to stand out but at the same time blend with the vehicle.”

The final prize went to Best JVC Representative, Hank Elnajjar, manager of Bristol Sound (Santa Ana, Calif.) for his BMW 3 Series. The BMW sported JVC’s KD-AVX11 in-dash DVD/CD receiver with built-in monitor, which Elnajjar described as excellent, affordable and worth every penny. “Going to this event and seeing the competition that I was up against wasn’t easy,” Elnajjar added. “My car had the least amount of work performed. This comes to show you that less really is more. I am very happy with the way my car looks. The car is simple, luxurious and comfortable and at the same time, everything put in didn’t contribute to depreciation. At Bristol Sounds, we are proud of our
