AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) today announced the appointment of Michael Goldfine as head of development and production. Goldfine will manage content acquisition and development as AT&T delivers programming and entertainment across the three screens at the center of customers’ lives: the TV, the PC and the wireless device.

Goldfine, who joins the AT&T programming team based in Los Angeles, will report to Dan York, AT&T head of content and programming, and will work to establish relationships with content providers to enhance existing content for the three screens and to develop and produce original content with creative talent and producers.

“We’re very pleased to have Michael join our team,” said York. “AT&T is focused on bringing great, original and personalized entertainment to our customers across devices and platforms. With his valuable expertise in programming development and production, Michael will help us deliver on that promise.”

Goldfine joins AT&T from Fine Tooth Media, a broadband, television, mobile, and online media production company, where he served as president. Prior to his position at Fine Tooth Media, Goldfine oversaw three-screen content development and production as vice president of programming and production for NetworkLIVE.

He has more than 15 years of experience as a producer and showrunner on such popular programs as the nationally-syndicated “Extra!,” “American Idol,” “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” and NBC’s broadcast of the 2002 Salt Lake City Winter Olympics. Goldfine created, developed and co-produced “Cathouse” for HBO and launched Fox Sports Television’s “Goin’ Deep,” “Rewind,” and “The Last Word with Jim Rome.” As director of production for Broadband Sports, he developed and supervised the FOX series “Beyond the Glory.”

Goldfine also brings experience in online and new media. He has launched several music, sports and general popular culture Web sites and produced numerous live global webcasts for music artists such as Madonna, the Rolling Stones, and Green Day and for NBA basketball.

Goldfine holds a juris doctorate degree from the University of Illinois and a bachelor of arts degree from George Washington University.

AT&T Entertainment Services is a new division focused on delivering innovative and unique entertainment services and multiplatform advertising and commerce opportunities across the three screens. The AT&T Entertainment Services group represents the intersection of the company’s vision to be the premier communications and entertainment provider.
