With just one more sleep until Pudsey Bear and friends are back to entertain the nation and raise vital funds for BBC Children In Need, the BBC can officially announce that Remember Monday will be gracing our screens once more.

On Friday night during the ‘big night of TV’, the girlband, who represented the United Kingdom at Eurovision this year, will be performing a very special cover of ‘Perfect Day’ with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. Testimonies of young people who have benefited from BBC Children In Need will be included in this incredibly heartwarming and emotional composition, demonstrating the life-changing impact that the charity has had – and continues to have - for so many.

The song, originally a Lou Reed single, was recreated by a star-studded line up of artists in 1997 and became a charity single for BBC Children In Need. The dulcet tones of David Bowie, U2’s Bono and Gabrielle, to name a few, raised over £2million for the charity and went on to top the charts.

Comprising of Charlotte, Holly and Lauren, Remember Monday are a trio of best friends, with their strong vocals and perfectly blended harmonies they will bring a unique flair to their rendition of ‘Perfect Day’. Performing with a spectacular orchestra, the performance is set to be incredibly moving.

Remember Monday say: “All three of us grew up watching Children in Need every year - it’s such a special event, we can’t believe we’re getting to be a part of it! Performing with the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra is truly a bucket list moment for us, and we feel incredibly lucky to get to sing such an iconic song for such an amazing cause.”

Tune in to BBC Children in Need on BBC iPlayer and BBC One at 7pm Friday night to watch Perfect Day alongside our Perfect Night of TV!
