MERIDA created a lightning-fast gravel bike…

WEBWIRE

So, one of the key clothing statements in the BikeRumor review of our new MISSION 10K…is not too bad, considering that the MISSION was created to offer more speed-focused riders a gravel and all-road alternative, which was more road-bike-influenced than bike-packing ready.

Over the testing period, the BikeRumor team were impressed by the carbon layup, which creates a “lightweight bike that is plenty stiff from the headtube, through the downtube, BB & chainstays into the UDH dropout while staying forgiving up top”. Further to that, the aggressive riding position and quick acceleration, paired with stable off-road and through loose gravel corner handling, create a “more responsive gravel bike that offers a road race feel without sacrificing too much of its all-terrain capability”.

Ultimately, the weight, specifications and price sealed the deal for the test team, who gave the new MISSION the thumbs up.

Their final verdict:
“In the end, Merida created a lightning-fast gravel bike, perfect for someone coming from the road side of things. It feels so fast that you could mount some fat slicks onto it and have a killer all-road bike. Or stick some proper 40-45 mm gravel tyres to suit your local riding, and set some new gravel road personal records.”
