Her first novel began as what she describes as a “mental movie” that played out in her mind each night more than 35 years ago. For decades, the original manuscript and early drafts of her book rested in a bin under her bed until life’s changes brought them back into the light. Now living just outside Austin, she balances her love for storytelling with her devotion to faith, community, and family—values that echo through every page of her work.
