Pratt & Whitney and United Services Expand Line Maintenance Service Agreement

EAST HARTFORD, Conn.,– Pratt & Whitney, a United Technologies company (NYSE:UTX), and United Services, a division of United Airlines, signed an agreement last week to expand the terms of their engine line maintenance services arrangement. This agreement leverages the respective products and services offered by each company and provides more comprehensive service offerings such as borescope inspections and engine changes to aircraft operators worldwide.

“The expanded agreement will allow us to better serve our customers’ engine line maintenance needs by providing increased capability and reduced response times by expanding each party’s network,” said Bill Norman, senior vice president at United Services. “We look forward to performing these new services in the expanding line maintenance market.”

“Customers are demanding a comprehensive, integrated service solution that includes engine on-wing support services,” said Jim Keenan, senior vice president and general manager, Pratt & Whitney Global Service Partners. “This initiative extends Pratt & Whitney’s ability to provide customers with the quality and solutions they need.”
