Outstanding Mothers Honored for Balancing Career and Motherhood

NEW YORK - The National Mother’s Day Council will honor five exceptional women for balancing accomplished careers and the demands of motherhood at the 29th Annual Outstanding Mother Awards luncheon on Thursday, May 10, at The Pierre Hotel in New York. All proceeds will benefit Women in Need, a nonprofit organization serving homeless and disadvantaged women and their children.

The 2007 honorees include:

Glenn Close – Oscar Nominated and Tony Award Winning Actress
Eileen Fisher – Clothing Designer and President Eileen Fisher Inc.
Linda Armstrong Kelly – Author/Motivational Speaker and Lance Armstrong’s Mother
Pam Shriver – Olympic Gold Medalist Tennis Champion
Maralyn Lakin – SVP/Advertising, Boscov’s Department Stores
