CA (NYSE: CA) today announced certification of its complete line of information governance products on the Hitachi Content Archive Platform—offering customers a comprehensive archive management, compliance and electronic discovery solution for Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes and Novell GroupWise.

The Hitachi Content Archive Platform-certified products include CA MDY FileSurf and CA Message Manager for integrated records and email management and CA File System Manager for automated data management and classification. These products also deliver U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) 5015.2 certified physical and electronic records management that spans email and file systems, including Microsoft SharePoint.

“Since announcing the Hitachi Content Archive Platform, we have been committed to delivering an integrated, best-of-breed portfolio of hardware and software components to meet customers’ compliance, governance and legal discovery needs,” said Jack Domme, executive vice president, Global Solutions Strategy and Development, Hitachi Data Systems. “With CA’s records, email and file system management solutions, we are delivering on that promise.”

The Hitachi Content Archive Platform, an active archive solution comprised of both software and hardware, supports policy-based integration from many distributed or centralized repositories such as email, file systems, databases, applications and content and document management systems.

“There isn’t a business in the world that can afford to leave itself exposed to the kind of consequences that could potentially result from not being able to provide an attorney or regulator with some critical document or email message,” said Galina Datskovsky, senior vice president, Development, CA. “With the combination of CA’s information governance solutions and the Hitachi Content Archive Platform, customers can cost-effectively protect themselves from these by tracking all forms of information throughout their life cycle, regardless of location or origin.”

CA and Hitachi Data Systems are demonstrating the products this week at AIIM Conference & Expo, the world’s largest enterprise content and information management event, in Boston.
