Pamela Roberts Lee is a retired U.S. Air Force Colonel and former Air Force Judge Advocate. She is also a retired U.S. Department of Justice Trial Attorney specializing in environmental law. Pamela has appeared in courts throughout the United States, including the Supreme Court. She lives in Alamogordo, New Mexico with her husband Matt, where she served as Chair of the Planning and Zoning Commission. Her vision for writing “The Darkness at Dawn” comes from stories of her ancestors passed down by her grandfather, Thaddeus Elisha Lee, including the story of the protagonist, John Lee, and from her belief that all Americans would benefit from learning about America’s turbulent 1600s.
