High Speed Kart Racing Teams With High Speed Wi-Fi

SANTA CLARA, Calif. - LeMans Karting in Fremont, CA is adding ArrowSpan’s Wi-Fi Mesh Access Points to its super fast track. The racing facility now includes not only fast karts, but fast internet access thanks to ArrowSpan’s MeshAP 1100.

Thrill seekers can now satisfy their need for speed in more ways than one. “ArrowSpan’s mesh access points provided our facility with much needed Wi-Fi Internet access, which is used by our employees and our customers, which can now book our corporate conference room and outdoor facilities for company events and functions,” said Rick Gaan, President of LeMans Karting. “This is the fastest indoor karting facility in the Bay area, and ArrowSpan’s mesh nodes allow us to offer our customers and staff the fastest, most secure and scalable mesh network.”

LeMans Karting is a European-style indoor kart-racing facility. Only three MeshAP 1100 units were needed to provide the 32,000 sq. ft. indoor facility and additional 20,000 sq. ft. outdoor event space with seamless Wi-Fi access, so employees and customers alike can enjoy the freedom of going wireless. “This is only the beginning for us. ArrowSpan has provided our facility with a mesh network so now we’re thinking of taking it one step further,” said Gaan. “We want to add wireless cameras in each of our karts, to capture and stream the thrill of racing from the drivers’ perspective.”

ArrowSpan’s MeshAP 1100 is a full duplex access point which can reach signal strength of up to 182m (600ft) in open space. Its dual radio design provides better wireless coverage and is compatible with third party Access Servers, IP devices and Network routers.
