VANCOUVER, BC - Flowfinity Actions, a wireless application designed for BlackBerry® smartphones from Research In Motion (NASDAQ: RIMM) (TSX: RIM), is leveraging the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 to enable customers to integrate wireless field activities and data exchange with backend systems.

The .NET Framework 3.0 is the new managed code programming model for Microsoft Windows to improve the enterprise backend integration potential of Flowfinity Actions, Flowfinity has chosen to use the Windows Communication Foundation (formerly code-named “Indigo”) from the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0

Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) is a set of .NET Framework technologies for building and running connected systems, and it provides secure, reliable, and transacted messaging along with interoperability. WCF radically simplifies development of distributed applications through reduced complexity, improved developer productivity and improved secure, reliable interoperability.

“Flowfinity is leveraging the .NET Framework 3.0 in all its products, with our integration of Windows Communications Framework into Flowfinity Actions as the first high impact innovation we have commercialized,” said Olga Sboychakova, CTO of Flowfinity Wireless. “We expect that this will greatly benefit developers, as well as help buyers stretch their I.T. budgets to achieve more.”

“Flowfinity’s support in leveraging the .NET FX 3.0 showcases the improved ease of integration between enterprise systems,” said Thom Robbins, Director of .NET Platform Product Management at Microsoft. “Flowfinity Actions, leveraging the .NET FX 3.0, also can reduce integration costs for enterprises looking to automate field work for business processes like work order management, audits and inventory tracking.”

Flowfinity Actions is using WCF to expose an Application Programming Interface (API) that enables developers to seamlessly and rapidly integrate wireless workflow to any backend system. As an example of this new capability, it is now very easy to use Flowfinity Actions to orchestrate the activities of mobile workers and their data exchange with SAP.

Now, integrating Flowfinity Actions with existing Financial, ERP and CRM systems is:

1. MUCH EASIER AND FASTER with development teams up and running 70% faster.

2. MORE COST EFFECTIVE with integration project budgets at 70% less.

3. BETTER ARCHITECTURE with better SOA implementation, better reliability and better scalability.
