WESTERVILLE, Ohio - For the second consecutive year Exel, the leading contract logistics services provider in the Americas, has earned Kellogg Company’s Top Gun award for 2006, which recognizes excellence in the daily execution of Kellogg’s business.

The Top Gun award is presented each year to the operation that accumulates the most points on a scorecard of Kellogg’s critical customer service and performance measures. The award was created to recognize excellence in service, cost, quality and innovation; promote goal congruence with Kellogg; and, facilitate greater dialogue among Kellogg, its distribution centers and providers on key issues. Exel received the award in the full-service warehouse category.

“It is measurements that count but people that make it happen day in and day out,” said Darla Evans, senior logistics operation manager at Kellogg. “The Dallas facility is proof of that.”

Greg Kadesch, Exel’s director of operations, Contract Logistics, added, “Leading the Kellogg network in the full-service warehouse category on its critical customer key performance indicators is no small task. The entire Dallas team focused on the proper application of people, processes and technology to deliver the consistent performance it takes to win this award.”

Dallas General Manager Brian Webb, said, “Winning the Top Gun award would not have been possible without the focus and commitment of every member of the Dallas team. The management team, office staff and floor associates never lost sight of the importance of providing Kellogg with outstanding service. This is a reflection of their hard work and dedication.”
