Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE: EK) has been named to DiversityInc.’s 2007 List of Top 50 Companies for Diversity, marking the fifth time that Kodak has earned a spot on the list. More than 300 companies applied for inclusion in this year’s list, answering a detailed survey that examines business practices in four areas: CEO Commitment, Human Capital, Corporate Communications (internal and external) and Supplier Diversity.

Kodak placed No. 35 on the list of top companies for diversity and inclusion. In addition, Kodak earned high rankings on three of DiversityInc.’s “specialty lists,” which recognize special focus in a particular segment of diversity and inclusion:

Kodak ranked No. 1 on DiversityInc.’s list of top companies for people with disabilities,

Kodak ranked No. 6 on DiversityInc.’s list of companies for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender employees, and

Kodak ranked No. 8 on DiversityInc.’s list of companies with a commitment to supplier diversity. The company places more than 11 percent of its annual domestic spend with minority- and women-owned business.
“Throughout our digital transformation, Kodak has worked hard to maintain our focus on diversity and inclusion as a key business imperative,” said Essie L. Calhoun, Chief Diversity Officer, Director of Community Affairs, and a Kodak vice president. “Each leader on the company’s executive council has committed himself or herself to diversity and inclusion, and each is measured on his or her performance against their commitments. Their leadership is a key driver in our achievement of this recognition.”

“Eastman Kodak Company is much different from the average corporation; it is a true champion of diversity,” said Luke Visconti, partner and cofounder of DiversityInc., a monthly business magazine and daily web site. “A total of 317 companies competed for a spot, a 100 percent increase in corporate participation in the Top 50 competition over the last three years.”

The DiversityInc. Top 50 Companies for Diversity list is the largest competition of its kind. The list is determined solely from a comprehensive survey of diversity management that measures CEO Commitment, Human Capital, Corporate Communications and Supplier Diversity.

The Top 50 list was unveiled during a live video webcast today. To view the webcast and the complete list of Top 50 winners, visit www.DiversityInc.com/top50.
