Nortel Goverment Solutions To Supply Service For U.S. Army Corps Of engineers

WASHINGTON – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has selected Nortel Government Solutions*, a U.S. company wholly owned by Nortel* [NYSE/TSX: NT], to provide support services for its Engineering and Construction Support Office in Fort Worth, Texas.

Within the Corps, this office represents the interests of Customs and Border Protection, an agency of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Serving as a ‘single door’ to the Corps, the Engineering and Construction Support Office directly manages numerous Customs and Border Protection construction and design projects, and monitors the execution of these projects by Corps districts.

Nortel Government Solutions will provide engineering and construction management support services, along with quality control to facilitate progress and accuracy.

Nortel Government Solutions has been selected to provide these services under an existing General Services Administration (GSA) MOBIS (Management, Organizational and Business Improvement Services Schedule) agreement with Nortel. MOBIS allows federal government agencies to purchase systems improvement, business process engineering, change implementation, strategic and business planning, benchmarking, and performance management services at pre-approved GSA prices.
