Designed from the ground up to operate in mission-critical applications, the architecture of the Qube product family has been conceived with the future in mind and provides an integrated workflow, from mastering to distribution to playback to reporting to archival. Being almost entirely software based allows the Qube system to leverage developments in the computer industry to bring to market format independent, powerful and flexible products.

Qube Cinema is an entire suite of products that are required for a practical, commercially viable end-to-end implementation of Digital Cinema from a company that has proven expertise in managing complex technology transformations in traditional workflows, a company with a passion for cinema and a thorough understanding of film, video, audio and computer technology as well as the production, post-production and exhibition industries.

Qube Cinema has been an innovator in the field of digital cinema since its inception, often anticipating industry requirement and building products to fulfill them. With digital cinema rapidly growing worldwide, there is an increasing need for a powerful, reliable and expandable archival solution capable of storing Digital Cinema Packages and their associated Encryption Keys. At Showest 2007, Qube Cinema is pleased to announce QubeVault, the ultimate archival solution for digital cinema.

With a web-based user interface and a database driven architecture, the QubeVault system utilizes the proven EMC Centera™ Content Addressed Storage System as its storage subsystem. The EMC Centera is a self-managing, self-healing and self-configuring archival system available in various sizes with virtually unlimited scalability and the highest level of redundancy in the industry.

QubeVault will allow authorized users to store and retrieve DCPs and KDMs and will have the unique capability to store multiple versions of a DCP without duplication of any assets that are common. DCPs can be retrieved to physical media or directly transmitted to cinemas using QubeCast, the digital cinema multicast system, also from Qube Cinema. QubeVault will also have an API available for interfacing to third-party products.

QubeVault is expected to ship in Q3 2007.
