Selena Holston Gabriel Pens Children’s Book Reminding Young Girls They Are Royalty in the Eyes of God

Every girl is heir of God’s Kingdom, which makes her a princess. As such, she is called to embrace her God-given beauty and identity as God’s daughter and use her gifts and strengths to make an impact in the world. Author Selena Holston Gabriel aims to impart such a message – and calling – to all girls of all ages through her rhyming children’s book “Heaven’s Royalty, That’s Me!” (2019).

“Heaven’s Royalty, That’s Me!” is a powerful and hope-filled book, in which Selena uses rhyming text and culturally diverse illustrations to affirm the beauty, authenticity, and inherent worth of girls all over the globe. She emphasizes this in the following verse: “You’re already a princess / You don’t have to pretend / It’s written in God’s Word / On that you can depend.”

In another verse, she added: “You’re already a princess / Daughter of Christ the King / You have access to God’s throne / Part of His royal family.”

In line with “Heaven’s Royalty, That’s Me!” Selena created Heaven’s RoyalTEA™, an event series with the aim to share the message and mission of the book. This program is offered in partnership with churches, schools, and other Christian groups through Compassion Creates Change™, a Christian non-profit. Selena Holston Gabriel is a minister, international relief and missions mobilizer, community o rganizer, children’s author, youth advocate, and change catalyst. She is also the founder and director of Compassion Creates Change™, a Christian non-profit.

Selena is devoted to the global health and welfare of children and to sustainable methods of community transformation. She has served children and families on the front lines of international relief work, compassionate ministry, global missions partnerships, and community development projects in the U.S. and throughout Latin America for many years. Her work has focused on organizing medical missions and nutrition therapy programs, providing safe parks and play spaces, clean water projects, constructing schools and churches, and more. Along the way, she discovered the disparities against the global poor are great, but the disparities against girls and women in those same contexts are even greater. 1-in-2 girls worldwide are at-risk.
