Goodcall Recognized Among Fast Company’s 2022 World Changing Ideas Awards

The sixth annual awards honor the products, concepts, companies, policies, and designs that are driving change, tackling issues, and so much more.

Cupertino, Calif. – WEBWIRE

Goodcall ™, a conversational AI platform for local businesses, today announced it received honorable mention in the AI and Data Category of Fast Company’s 2022 World Changing Ideas Awards.

The awards honor clean technology, innovative corporate initiatives, brave new designs for cities and buildings, and other creative works that are supporting the growth of positive social innovation, tackling social inequality, climate change, and public health crises.

Born out of Google, Goodcall is an AI-powered intelligent phone assistant that provides 24/7 support for local shops, restaurants, and merchants that can be installed in minutes. Goodcall’s smart agent is intelligent, intuitive, and lives on a local phone number published on the web. Goodcall responds to incoming calls by answering questions related to hours, location, policies, reservations and appointments, and more.

Now in its sixth year, the World Changing Ideas Awards showcase 39 winners, 350 finalists, and more than 600 honorable mentions—with climate, social justice, and AI and data among the most popular categories. A panel of eminent Fast Company editors and reporters selected winners and finalists from a pool of more than 2,997 entries across transportation, education, food, politics, technology, health, social justice, and more. In addition, several new categories have been added this year including climate, nature, water, and workplace. The 2022 awards feature entries from across the globe, from Switzerland to Hong Kong to Australia.

“We’re honored to be recognized by Fast Company as a world-changing idea,” said Bob Summers, CEO and Founder of Goodcall. “It’s an even greater honor to offer a solution for small business owners in need of an extra set of hands. This award affirms the work we’re doing and inspires us to continue developing new features and integrations to further serve our customers.”

Founded in September 2021, Goodcall processes more than 100,000 calls each month, giving small business owners the time back to focus on what they do best. The service also automatically updates special store hours, can record calls for future playback, and identifies and stops spambots. Owners of businesses such as hair salons, retail shops, and restaurants can create their own skills to address a caller’s specific request. Goodcall provides a reliable, affordable, and constantly improving phone call management solution that captures new customers and lost revenue associated with a growing number of missed customer calls.

“We are consistently inspired by the novelty and creativity that people are applying to solve some of our society’s most pressing problems, from shelter to the climate crisis. Fast Company relishes its role in amplifying important, innovative work to address big challenges,” said David Lidsky, interim editor-in-chief of Fast Company. “Our journalists have identified some of the most ingenious initiatives to launch since the start of 2021, which we hope will both have a meaningful impact and lead others to join in being part of the solution.”

All of the finalists and honorees are highlighted in the Summer 2022 print issue of Fast Company’s magazine, which hits newsstands on May 10. To learn more about Goodcall, visit: http://www.goodcall.com.
