Release day is finally here! Dying Light 2 Stay Human is now available to purchase and play, taking you for an unforgettable adventure to a vast, post-apocalyptic city. You can enjoy the base game with the Standard edition, or upgrade your experience with the Deluxe or Ultimate one, both of which come with a different scope of extra content. 

The Deluxe edition gives you access to a DLC with a whole new story, digital soundtrack and artbook, a set of wallpapers, a digital comic, exclusive weapon charms, and the Legendary pack that contains a full outfit, two unique weapons, and a paraglider skin.

And if you want to enhance your experience even more, take a look at the Ultimate edition, which tops all of it with another story DLC, a 2-hours night XP boost, and a bunch of crafting materials—with these, you’ll jump into The City ready for anything it throws at you. But what is this “anything”? Well, to answer this question, let’s take a closer look at the main features and challenges you’ll encounter in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.

VAST OPEN WORLD

Dying Light 2 Stay Human transports you to a vast, multilayered city where humanity has forgotten technology. modern medicine, and other advancements of civilization, going back to the Dark Ages. On top of buildings reminding us what the world used to be—such as malls, skyscrapers, and offices—shacks, makeshift shelters, farms, and medieval structures rise. To roam this vertical world stuck in between the old and the new, you’ll have to look for unobvious paths and solutions as well as make use of your paraglider and grappling hook, tools that allow you to get to places no other person could reach.

CREATIVE & BRUTAL COMBAT

The challenges you’ll encounter are as unique as The City itself, and you must be creative if you want to survive. Plan your fights, test different tactics, and check out what works best in various scenarios. You’ve got all sorts of things and combinations to try—a variety of weapons, mods, upgrades, and traps, but also mixing your parkour and combat skills or even using elements of your environment. The City offers you almost limitless ways out of any situation, and all you need to do is look for them.

DAY AND NIGHT CYCLE

As soon as the sun sets, a shift in nature occurs. No longer kept at bay by sunlight, monsters march into the streets, and people flee onto the roofs and to their refuges to spend the night in relative safety of UV lamps. But your special abilities allow you to face the hazards lurking in the darkness. As dangerous as The City becomes after dusk, there are treasures waiting for those who dare take the risk, and there’s no one more qualified to do so than you. If you manage to survive, you’ll come back with valuable loot, inhibitors, and maybe even items many have thought to be long gone—rewards for your extraordinary courage.

CHOICES & CONSEQUENCES

During your adventures, you’ll see the world react and change in response to your actions. With your choices, you’ll decide the fate of both The City and its inhabitants. It’s up to you which of the factions—the Peacekeepers or the Survivors—will win over resources and territories, how The City’s landscape will alter, and what kind of future your allies, enemies, and many of those simply trying to survive in this unforgiving world, will see. So make sure you think over your choices, explore the world around you, and understand the people there, as you alone will be responsible for the consequences of your actions.

2-4 PLAYER CO-OP GAMEPLAY

Whether you want to enjoy Dying Light 2 Stay Human solo or with friends, you can do both thanks to the game’s 2-4 player co-op mode. Proud of your story and achievements? Host your game and invite friends to show them the world you shaped, or join theirs instead, and see what happens when you choose different paths. Whichever way you prefer, you’ll be able to experience the game together until the end, epilog included.
