Award-Winning Professor of Microbiology Dr. Bryan Lewis Presents His Interactive Children’s Book “The Tiny World of Microbes You Can’t See”

Bryan Lewis, a distinguished teaching professor of microbiology in the College of Pharmacy at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida, excites the minds of little ones. Throughout his career, Dr. Lewis has worked to share the excitement of microbiological science with others. Dr. Lewis has now created a children’s book about microbiology, believing that microbiology education should begin at a young age. He has written a fascinating and interactive children’s book called “The Tiny World of Microbes You Can’t See.”

We will follow Billy Bacillus, a bacterium, as he introduces us, particularly young children, to his world and microbiology. He’ll also show everyone how to use the instruments that will aid humans in studying their microscopic environment. Billy will discuss the microscope and how it aids humans in studying him and his family. He also discusses the differences between harmful and beneficial microorganisms and how they may hurt or benefit the body.
