“Easy 8: The Big Event” - Dances with Bulls

The story is based on an actual annual bull-riding event where American bulls are performing live in an audience, As the bull riding period is almost over, a contest between competitors is stiff. Each bull is determined to achieve the highest score to snag the Bull of the Year award. Winter Hawk and White Cloud, both are Native American bulls who entertain spectators with their traditional dance in honor of Mother Earth.
 
As the bull riding contest starts, every single cowboy in the contest is eager to show off their skills. The contestants displayed their best. The bulls, can’t wait to toss their riders away, as they display their throwing-the-human-off skills. Giving the cowboys the longest eight seconds (or less) of their lives. The story flow is similar as to watching a match. References to the native American bulls provided were very enjoyable and relatable.
 
“Easy 8: The Big Event” is a story that is similar to an action animated story that will keep the kids amused. The artwork is minimalistic and beautiful, also very straight forward and reveals which bull has their distinct behavior when they perform with hilarious consequences. The author wrote the book in a way that is witty and smart, at the same time about a well-known event that gives kids an idea about bull riding. But the story is focused on the bull’s perspective, which is outrageous and amusing. They are clever and adorable. Kids will be attached to them. About the Author
Carrolyn Foster lives in a small rural town in Oklahoma. She is retired from the United States Postal Service. She and her husband raise a few cattle and have lived there for many years. They are active in their local FFA and 4-H programs. Their grandsons are active in showing sheep, archery, trap, and skeet shooting. They go to most of their events and support them. Writing children’s books has been a long-time desire for Carrolyn. She is finally getting the time to do so.
