In order to reinforce the solidarity action of donating medicines for intubation, Vale had the support of more companies to purchase these supplies. An additional 300,000 drugs will be donated for the treatment of patients with Covid-19 admitted to the ICU, making a total of 3.7 million pain relievers, sedatives and neuromuscular blockers. All inputs are being delivered to the Ministry of Health, responsible for distribution by the States through the Unified Health System (SUS). The last batch of this new emergency shipment, acquired in China, arrived at dawn on 11/5, at 4:20 am, at Guarulhos airport, in São Paulo. This time, Vale joined BR Distribuidora and the Brazilian Oil and Gas Institute (IBP), which is representing, in addition to BR, ICONIC, Ipiranga, Petrobras and Petrogal Brasil.

The new initiative adds to another donation, of 3.4 million medicines for intubation, from another pool of companies, formed by ENGIE, Itaú Unibanco, Klabin, Petrobras, Raízen, TAG and Vale, as announced on April 8 . The items have import authorization issued by Anvisa, in addition to certification by the Chinese health agency.
