OUP provides access to 130 medical and healthcare eBooks for NHS staff in England

We have made a three-year agreement with Health Education England (HEE) to provide national, online access for all National Health Service (NHS) staff and learners in England to over 130 medical and healthcare titles published by OUP.

HEE, who are part of the NHS, work with partners to plan, recruit, educate and train the health workforce, and is the strategic lead for NHS Knowledge and Library Services in England. They are committed to enabling all NHS staff to freely access library and knowledge services so that they can use the right knowledge and evidence to achieve high-quality, safe healthcare and health improvement. 

The agreement with HEE grants access to all the titles in the Oxford Medical Handbooks series, the Oxford Handbooks in Nursing, the ‘Emergencies In…’ series, and several key works such as the Oxford Textbook of Medicine. Individual health trusts will also have the option of subscribing to the full Oxford Specialist Handbook Collection at a reduced price.

The NHS Knowledge and Library Services has funded this invaluable resource in order to provide a wide range of digital knowledge resources and the handbooks can now be accessed 24/7 by NHS healthcare staff.
