EMSL Indianapolis’ Asbestos Testing Laboratory Receives NY ELAP Accreditations

EMSL Analytical, Inc. is pleased to announce that its Indianapolis, Indiana testing laboratory has received accreditations for asbestos analysis in solid and hazardous waste, potable water, and air and emissions by the New York State Department of Health Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NYSDOH ELAP). EMSL’s Indianapolis laboratory provides these asbestos testing services through polarized light microscopy (PLM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), EPA 100.2 and NIOSH 7400 methods. The laboratory is also recognized by National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) and the IRRST for analysis of asbestos by PLM and TEM.

In addition, the laboratory has multiple accreditations under the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA-LAP, LLC). The Indianapolis laboratory is accredited by the AIHA Industrial Hygiene Laboratory Accreditation Program (IHLAP), the Environmental Microbiology Laboratory Accreditation Program (EMLAP) and the Environmental Lead Laboratory Accreditation Program (ELLAP).

The Indianapolis laboratory provides Legionella testing, food safety testing services, food microbiology, lead, and environmental chemistry testing services. The laboratory is also certified by the CDC ELITE for Legionella analysis and by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA) for various tests.
