Pierre Leroy, Co-Managing Partner of Lagardère SCA, is appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Hachette Livre, Fabrice Bakhouche is appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Acting on the proposal of Arnaud Lagardère, the board of directors of Hachette Livre, the holding company of the Lagardère Publishing division, today appointed Pierre Leroy as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer. Pierre Leroy succeeds Arnaud Nourry, who has decided to part ways with the Group on an amicable basis.

Also today, acting on the proposal of Pierre Leroy, the board of directors of Hachette Livre appointed Fabrice Bakhouche as Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

Co-Managing Partner and Secretary General of the Lagardère group, Pierre Leroy is also Chairman of IMEC, the French institute for contemporary publishing archives, Director of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France endowment fund, Chairman of the jury of the Prix de la littérature arabe literary awards and a former member of the jury of the Médicis literary prize.

Secretary General and Chief Financial Officer, Fabrice Bakhouche joined Hachette Livre in 2017 having held various positions, notably as media and digital advisor to the French Prime Minister and chief of staff to the Minister of Culture and Communication.
